Visit to
 RUF Automobile GmbH

Really fantastic to visit and meet the man himself, Alois Ruf at their workshop in Pfaffenhausen. Very nice people, went on a tour of the facility – both their manufacturing site and their Porsche Center across the traffic circle. The original workshop has two engine dynos for development work and the breaking in of every customer engine before installation, along with a small paint and body shop. Very cool to see where the magic happens. Some really interesting and historical vehicles on site including an odd Ford GT in for servicing, owned by a very ‘special’ customer of theirs. This man’s most famous creation, the Yellow Bird from 1989 graced my walls as a kid, so this was a very special visit… Their website is here

Porsche Museum

Visited the Porsche Museum and took a Factory Tour on Tuesday June 16. Fantastic factory tour, but wish we would have been able to see the paint shop! And no pics inside the factory tour. The Museum was a great walk through too, lots of history here.

Camping or “Glamping” at Le Mans

The camping scene here was incredible in that there were so many campers in so many areas around the circuit, never seen anything like it!

Michelin Hospitality at the 2015 24 HR of Le Mans

The Hospitality provided by Michelin was unbelievable throughout the event, it was open for the entire 24 HR race. The balcony upstairs was right on the track at the last few curves before the finish line, simply stunning.
