This is the Le Mans Cathedral (Cathédrale St-Julien du Mans) that dates back to the 6th century. Truly amazing construction details inside and out and I’m sure tons and tons of history. This was the backdrop for our vantage point of the driver’s parade on Friday but we visited it a few more times to explore inside and out. There was a farmer’s market there a couple of mornings which was very interesting, so many things sold there. I was especially intrigued by the food trucks themselves, unlike anything I’ve seen here. One of the mornings, we noticed a pretty massive French SWAT team presence in the city instead of the farmer’s market and later found out that the President was attending the race, no wonder!
